THE Speedway Control Bureau have issued a statement following an incident at the Scunthorpe v Redcar League Cup meeting on Sunday April 6.

The statement reads:

Premier League: SCUNTHORPE v REDCAR: Sunday 6th April 2014

A racing incident occurred in Heat 7 of the above Meeting in which Josh Auty (Scunthorpe) and Richard Hall (Redcar) collided and both fell on the track.

The Meeting Referee, Peter Clarke immediately indicated the disqualification of Auty as being the primary cause.

However, Hall after removing his bike from the Fence went over to Auty, who was lying on the track and kicked him in the stomach.

As a consequence the Referee ordered that Hall be excluded from the remainder of the Meeting, imposed a fine and sent a report to the SCB.

The SCB received a statement from Hall by email early on Monday morning which both admitted the incident and expressed deep regret at his actions and stated that he will be making a full, public apology to Josh Auty, the Scunthorpe public who witnessed his actions and his own Team mates.

Taking everything into account the penalty is that Richard Hall’s SCB Registration will be suspended for 30 days with effect from Monday 7th April.
