SCORPIONS SEEK TO SHOCK REDCAR

ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL Scunthorpe Scorpions travel to Redcar tomorrow evening (Friday, April 25) seeking to consolidate their positive start to BSN Series, after a 46-44 victory over the Bears at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Good Friday.

Both teams are due to be at full strength at the ECCO Arena – while Scorpions won both of their meetings at the venue last season.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Redcar are highly fancied this season, and as the Good Friday meeting at the Eddie Wright Raceway demonstrated last week, they do have a powerful heat-leader trio.

“We have a much more solid side, while a lot of our riders do enjoy riding around Redcar, since it is a very good racetrack. It doesn’t seem to matter where the meeting takes place, clashes between Scunthorpe and Redcar are always closely contested, and we’ll head up there with a positive frame of mind.”
