ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL BACK AS TITLE SPONSORS

ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL will be the main title sponsors of the Scunthorpe Scorpions in the Cab Direct Championship for a third successive season in 2026.

Ellie Rose Travel is a family-run business based on the outskirts of East Hull in Saltend.

The company was founded in 2002 by the late James and Sheila Houghton, who established the friendly and reliable service that continues to be delivered today.

Their son, Shane Houghton, took over the business bringing industry experience dating back to 1981. In 2018, Shane was joined by his daughter, Ellie Rose, who carries forward the family legacy as part of the next generation of leadership.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “It’s fantastic that we will again take to the track at the Ellie Rose Travel Scunthorpe Scorpions in 2026.

“Shane and Mandy Houghton of Ellie Rose Travel are not just our sponsors. They are very close friends of my wife Gail and I. Shane and Mandy have been a great help at the Eddie Wright Raceway.

“We want to spread the name of Ellie Rose Travel, and that’s one reason we are targetting a successful season for the Scorpions in 2026.”

* ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL Scunthorpe Scorpions host their press and practice on Saturday (March 14) from 3pm onwards at the Eddie Wright Raceway.

The press and practice will commence after the AMSA event earlier in the day.

There will be a hot/cold drinks and burger van (cash only).

Admission to the press and practice is free and everyone is welcome.
