ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL RETURN AS TITLE SPONSORS

ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL will be the main title sponsors of the Scunthorpe Scorpions for a second successive season in 2025.

Ellie Rose Travel UK Ltd is a family run business in the East Riding of Yorkshire based on the outskirts of East Hull (Saltend). Operating since 2002, initially by founders the late James and Sheila Houghton.

Director Shane Houghton has been in the industry since 1981 working with various local operators, before taking the reins of Ellie Rose Travel, following the passing of his parents. In 2018, Shane was joined by his daughter, Ellie Rose herself.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “I’m delighted that the Ellie Rose Travel Scunthorpe Scorpions will to the track again this season.

“Shane and Mandy Houghton are far to the club than our title sponsors – it extends far beyond that. They are very good friends  of my wife Gail and myself, and are often up the stadium helping us out.

“They give so much to our club and nothing would give me more pleasure than seeing the Scorpions win some silverware this season, and spreading the name of Ellie Rose Travel UK far and wide.”

* ELLIE ROSE TRAVEL Scunthorpe Scorpions take to the track for the first time as a team at Oxford on Wednesday (April 9) in the first leg of the quarter-final of the MAXiCab Knockout Cup. The opening home action for both Scorpions and National League Steelers is against the respective Redcar sides at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Good Friday (April 18) in a double-header commencing at 3pm.
