Dates set for play-off semi-finals

THE big dates have been set for the two legs of the Cab Direct Championship play-off semi-final between Ellie Rose Travel Scunthorpe Scorpions and Oxford Cheetahs.

The first leg will take place at Oxford Stadium next Wednesday (September 11) at 7.30pm, with the second leg at Scunthorpe’s Eddie Wright Raceway two days later on Friday, September 13 at 7.30pm. The aggregate winners will progress to the Grand Final, which will determine the Cab Direct league champions.

Cheetahs qualified by coming second in the Cab Direct Championship league table, while Scorpions will finish third.

In the meantime, Scorpions host Poole Pirates this Friday (September 6) in the second leg of the Cab Direct Knockout Cup, with racing commencing at 7.30pm. Scorpions will be looking to overturn a 31-point deficit to progress to the final.
