SCORPIONS AIM FOR POINTS AT REDCAR

ATTIS INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions are seeking a victory in the Cab Direct Championship at Redcar’s ECCO Arena tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm.

Last weekend, the two legs of the Knockout Cup semi-final between the two teams were washed out, so hopefully the weather will be better tonight.

Scunthorpe and Redcar have previously met three times in 2023. In the BSN Series, Scunthorpe topped their group after narrowly taking the aggregate bonus point against Redcar – with scores of 50-40 to Scunthorpe at the EWR and 49-41 to Redcar at the ECCO Arena.

Scorpions scored a hefty 55-35 victory over Bears in a league match at the Eddie Wright Raceway on June 2, and therefore the minimum target for tonight is picking up the aggregate bonus point.

Scunthorpe are still without Michael Palm Toft, who is out with an ankle injury, and will use rider replacement in his place at Redcar.
