Scorpions out for away victory

ATTIS INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions face Birmingham Brummies twice in the next three days, knowing that double victory would go a long way towards ensuring their progression to the semi-finals of the BSN Series.

Scorpions travel to Perry Barr tonight (Wednesday), before they entertain the Brummies at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Friday evening (7.30pm).

Jason Edwards is set to guest for Scorpions in place of the injured Zaine Kennedy in both meetings this week.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “We’ve already taken an excellent home win over Redcar in the BSN Series, and we have to take advantage that it will be Birmingham’s first home meeting of the season.

“A win at Perry Barr would place us in a very nice position in our group, which we could then consolidate with a home victory over the Brummies in Friday’s big clash at the Eddie Wright Raceway.”
