DOUBLE INJURY BLOW FOR SCORPIONS AHEAD OF BERWICK TRIP

ATTIS INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions will be without both Jake Allen and Tero Aarnio for their visit to Berwick this evening (Saturday) at 7pm.

Allen suffered a suspected fractured wrist while riding for Sheffield on Thursday, while Aarnio was hurt in a big crash in Poland last weekend. Broc Nicol will guest for Allen, while Scorpions will use rider replacement for Aarnio.

Even with the missing duo, Scorpions will be chasing points. Berwick No 1 Chris Harris is missing due to a European commitment where no guest is permitted, and therefore Bandits have to bring in a rider with an average 25% lower, which will be Paul Starke. Berwick’s two reserves, Jonas Knudsen and Nathan Stoneman, are using making their club debuts tonight after a re-shuffle at the bottom of Bandits’ side.
