FORMER skipper Jake Allen will guest for Josh Auty in Attis Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions’ top-of-the-table clash with Glasgow Tigers at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Sunday (June 20) at 3pm.

Auty is ruled out, as the meeting falls within a nine-day-period of when the Yorkshireman sustained concussion in a crash at Leicester last Saturday.

Allen was originally due to ride for Scorpions in 2021, but the Australian pulled out of British Speedway in January. He later reversed that decision, but by that time, Scorpions had already signed Josh MacDonald as a replacement and instead Allen joined Redcar for this season.

Sunday’s action will also include the 125/150cc class of the British Youth Championship. That consists of 18 races, meaning the double-header will consist of a grand total of 33 action-packed heats.

ADMISSION PRICES FOR SUNDAY:
Adult: £18.00 (including programme)
Student/OAP: £16.00 (including programme)
Child (10 – 17): £5.00 (not including programme)
Child (0 – 9) Free (accompanied by paying adult – not including programme)

There is a 3% handling fee for online sales – please note this handing fee goes to the ticketing provider, not the club.

On the day, officials and riders will enter and leave via the pits entrance, while members of the public will enter via the turnstiles.

Members of the public are expected to respect the safe distancing advice given. If they do not, or show signs of Covid-19, they may be asked to leave. Any individual already showing signs of Covid-19 must not visit the venue. Scunthorpe Speedway will again provide fuller details regarding the Covid-19 measures in place in due course.
