It’s the Attis Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions!
ATTIS INSURANCE will be the new main title sponsors of the Scunthorpe Scorpions for the forthcoming 2021 season. The team will again take to the track known as the ‘Attis Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions’.
A very familiar name is behind the sponsorship deal – Joe Henderson MBE. It will be his 15th successive season of backing the North Lincolnshire club.
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “I’m delighted that the team will be known as the Attis Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions. Joe Henderson has been such a huge supporter of our club throughout the years.
“Attis Insurance are a brand-new company, and we will take every chance to promote the name of Attis Insurance in the media at every opportunity. We will do everything possible to make sure that Attis Insurance becomes synonymous with the club.
“I think the Attis Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions sounds trips off the tongue very nicely.”
Attis Insurance Brokers Ltd has recently been launched with offices in northern Lincolnshire and Leeds.
Supported by Joe Henderson, who sold his eponymous business Henderson Insurance to US giant Aon in 2017, directors Duane Bowers and Scott Mathieson are at the helm.
The prominent businessman knows what it takes to build an insurance broking empire from scratch, having left construction firm Birse to launch Henderson Insurance – what became a £100 million operation from a small Scunthorpe base, culminating in a 400-strong team across 16 offices.
