SUPPORTERS can now buy online tickets for the speedway meetings featuring the Scunthorpe Scorpions at the Eddie Wright Raceway this season – which commence with the mouth-watering Scunthorpe v Plymouth fixture a week on Friday (May 21, 7.30pm).

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Our thanks go to seatedly.com for being our online ticket provider for this season.

“We’re expecting tickets to go like hot cakes for the first meeting, because Plymouth Gladiators are very attractive visitors.

“Three-time World Champion Jason Crump will be the most decorated rider ever to ride at the Eddie Wright Raceway, plus Gladiators also include Bjarne Pedersen, another highly successful international rider and a World Cup champion with Denmark, in their line-up.

“All our lads will want to become the first rider to defeat Crumpie around the track – that would be a real feather in their caps.

“This first meeting is going to be like Friends Reunited, because some people will be seeing each other for the first time for a long time. It will be both emotional and poignant and a time to remember those no longer with us.
