Fixture update

PLEASE NOTE that there will be no Scunthorpe Scorpions fixture at the Eddie Wright Raceway this coming Friday (September 21st). We are still waiting for other clubs to catch up on fixtures.

Our next home meeting will take place on either Friday, September 28th or Friday, October 5th. It is most likely to be the Knockout Cup semi-final against either Peterborough or Lakeside.

In the meantime, Scorpions are in action in the second leg of their Championship Shield semi-final at Workington next Saturday (September 22nd). The two teams drew 45-45 in the first leg at Scunthorpe, so there’s all to race for at Derwent Park.

Semi-finals:
Scunthorpe 45 Workington 45, with second leg at Workington’s Derwent Park on Sept 22.
Lakeside v Peterborough with legs at Lakeside (Sept 29) and Peterborough (Sept 30).

KNOCKOUT CUP:
Quarter-finals:
Scunthorpe defeated Sheffield 95-85.
Lakeside v Peterborough, with both meetings on Sept 23.
Edinburgh defeated Berwick 99-81.
Newcastle 40 Workington 50, with second leg at Workington’s Derwent Park on date TBC.

Semi-finals:
Scunthorpe v Peterborough or Lakeside.
Edinburgh v Workington or Newcastle.
