Newcastle Diamonds v Scunthorpe Scorpions preview

HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions are seeking to complete their 2018 league fixtures with a victory at Newcastle’s Brough Park tonight (Sunday, 6.30pm).

Stefan Nielsen returns to action for Scorpions after suffering concussion in a crash at Ipswich ten days ago.

Promoter Rob Godfrey says: “We’ve already been close to winning at Newcastle once this season, when we lost by just a couple of points back in April.

“On that occasion, we were without Steve Worrall, who of course knows the track very well as a former No 1 for the Diamonds.

“We go into every meeting seeking to win it, while a victory would take us above Newcastle in the league table, with a fair chance of staying there, if Workington were also to win at Brough Park next week.”
