WE’RE sure, that like us, many of you had your hearts in your mouths when Gino Manzares was involved in a horrific-looking accident in the Speedway Of Nations in Germany on Saturday evening.

In Heat 18, Gino lost control, after Matej Zagar slowed down in front of him. As he fell, he was struck by Matic Ivacic.

The good news is that’s not as bad as first feared.

USA team manager Lance King revealed on Facebook late on Saturday night: “After x rays, no fractures. A lot of swelling and trauma to his shoulder. See more when swelling goes down.”

On Sunday, Gino tweeted: “I’m okay. Disappointed with my performance. But I’m okay.”
