Photos from Scorpions v Comets

Official track photographer ALEX SUMMERFIELD was on hand to capture the action from Sunday’s meeting.

The big puddle on the third turn after a 10-minute downpour at 5.20pm.  Track staff, management and fans did an amazing job to clear it, as the following photos testify…

Heat 1: Lewis Kerr holds off Mason Campton, on his way to posting a highly respectable time.

Heat 2: Tero Aarnio leads from James Sarjeant and Josh Bailey.

Michael Palm Toft and Ryan Douglas take command in Heat 3.

Later in Heat 3: Ryan had to fight off a challenge from Matt Williamson, despite completing the race without a steel shoe!

Heat 4: Josh Auty taking a commanding victory and staying clean in the process!

Heat 9: Michael Palm Toft eventually came out on top after a battle with James Sarjeant for second place.

Heat 10: Jake Allen about to pass James Sarjeant, on his way to his second victory of the evening, after the second good race in a row.
