Scorpions race back into action this weekend

AFTER a blank weekend, Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions take to the track on three successive days later in the week, as their season starts to draw to a close.

Scunthorpe have four meetings left in the SGB Championship and three of those take place away at Peterborough (Friday), north of the border at Glasgow (Saturday), and at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Sunday (5.30pm), when Edinburgh Monarchs are the visitors.

There is a fresh injury doubt regarding Jake Allen, who sustained a wrist injury at Swindon on Bank Holiday Monday.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Our meetings against Edinburgh at the Eddie Wright Raceway are often thrilling affairs, and I don’t see this Sunday’s encounter being any different.”
