New electronic scoreboard at Eddie Wright Raceway

THOSE in attendance at Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions’ recent home meeting to Glasgow Tigers could have hardly missed a new addition to the Eddie Wright Raceway!

Scorpions have a new electronic scoreboard, which updates fans with line-ups, heat sponsors and race results.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey says: “I’m always looking at ways at improving the experience for our supporters at the Eddie Wright Raceway, and when the offer of a scoreboard became available, it was too good an opportunity to turn down.

“It’s going to be invaluable, for both speedway and stock cars.

“My thanks to Shane Houghton and Nigel Franklin for getting it into position, and to Paul Godfrey and Barry Preston for getting it up-and-running.”

* SCORPIONS are next in action, when they entertain second-placed Ipswich Witches in SGB Championship action at the Eddie Wright Raceway on Sunday (5.30pm).
