Photos from Scorpions v Panthers

Official track photographer ALEX SUMMERFIELD was on hand to capture the following action from last weekend’s thriller.

Josh Bailey was the early leader in Heat 2, ahead of Bradley Wilson-Dean.  Fritz Wallner – in hot pursuit – goes a little too wide, resulting in a fall moments later.

Michael Palm Toft and Lewis Kerr take a 5-1 over Jack Holder in Heat 5.

Carl Wilkinson leads Heat 8.

Ryan Douglas has a tiger on his tail in Heat 10.  Paul Starke eventually went around Ryan in brilliant style on the final bend, to snatch the victory.

There was also a fine battle for third place in Heat 10.  It went to Wilko, who held off a real challenge from Ulrich Ostergaard.

All very close, coming off the second bend of Heat 11.  Josh Auty (red) would go on to register his second race win of the meeting.

A ding-dong battle in Heat 13.  Jack Holder (white) won the race, despite severe pressure from both Ryan Douglas (red) and Josh Auty (blue).

Scorpions finished with a 5-1 in Heat 15. Here, Josh holds off Jack Holder.
