Today’s the day!!

YES, it’s finally here! The day we’ve all been waiting for!!

Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions stage their opening meeting of the season at the Eddie Wright Raceway at 5.30pm this evening (Sunday). The Peterborough Panthers are in opposition, and a day of thrilling action is almost guaranteed.

So far, the Scorpions have put in two encouraging performances on the road, in particular at powerhouse Glasgow last night, where we trailed by just two points with four heats to go, only for Tigers to pull away in the final stages.

Today, it’s important that we start our home fixtures with a victory. The boys are fully capable of doing it, but Peterborough are no pushovers – in the SGB Championship this season, EVERY team is a good one

Please come along to the EWR, get behind our lads, and there’s no reason why we can’t emerge from the meeting with three vital league points.
