HALIFAX DUKES will return to action in the second half at Scunthorpe’s Eddie Wright Raceway on Easter Sunday (April 16).

The preceding Scunthorpe v Redcar Championship fixture will commence at 3pm, and will be followed with a SCB-approved Youth Challenge between Scunthorpe Stags and Halifax Dukes.

Scunthorpe’s Youth Co-ordinator Richard Hollingsworth explains: “The meeting between the Stags and Halifax Dukes will take place over 16 races. There will be eight riders on each team – 4 riders on 500cc bikes, and 4 on 250cc bikes.

“Of course, the 500cc will be racing each other, and likewise with the 250cc riders.

“We’re delighted to welcome Halifax back to the Eddie Wright Raceway, and I hope one day they can find a track of their own and return full-time to British Speedway.”

Scunthorpe Stags: 1.Luke Woodhull, 2.Drew Kemp, 3.Ben Woodhull, 4.Jordan Bull, 5.Dan Thompson, 6.Ryan Morris, 7.Joe Thompson, 8.Danny Curl. Team manager: Nigel Hinchliffe.
