HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions travel to South Devon tonight (Saturday) without ace reserve Carl Wilkinson, for their clash against old rivals Plymouth Devils in Premier League action (start 7.15pm).

Wilkinson crashed out of yesterday’s Coventry vs King’s Lynn Elite League meeting, sustaining rib damage.

Michael Palm Toft returns from illness, but Josh Auty is still unwell, and Scorpions use rider replacement in his absence.

Connor Coles replaces collarbone victim Josh Bailey at No 7.

Redcar seem destined for the wooden spoon, after a 41-49 home defeat to Rye House on Thursday. But both Plymouth (currently 12th in the table, a single place above Redcar) and Scunthorpe (currently 11th) will be seeking points to move further away from the bottom.

Expected teams for tonight:

Plymouth Devils: 1. Rider replacement for Jack Holder, 2. Stefan Nielsen, 3. Sam Simota, 4. Todd Kurtz, 5. Kevin Doolan (guest), 6. Steve Boxall, 7. Ellis Perks.

Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions: 1. Rider replacement for Josh Auty, 2. Michael Palm Toft, 3. Lewis Kerr, 4. Fritz Wallner, 5. Ryan Douglas, 6. Guest TBC for Carl Wilkinson, 7. Connor Coles (guest).

SATURDAY LUNCHTIME UPDATE: Richard Andrews will guest for Wilko at Plymouth tonight.
