HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions are due to return to full strength for their Premier League encounter at Ipswich tonight (Thursday, 7.30pm).

Both Josh Auty and Carl Wilkinson missed Tuesday’s 41-52 defeat at league leaders Somerset through food poisoning.

Scorpions have lost their last four meetings to Edinburgh and Somerset, all by narrow margins, but return to the track tonight where they started their 2016 season with a 48-41 League Cup victory.

Lewis Kerr (pictured, battling Charles Wright) started the season in Ipswich colours, but was released to make way for Ben Barker. Kerr has hit a rich vein of form for Scorpions recently, and, no doubt, will have a point to prove against his old club.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “We’ll approach the meeting with a positive attitude – there’s no reason why we can’t take a result from it.”
