The Halifax Dukes were comfortable winners of this entertaining 4 Team Tournament despite losing Wayne Carter in his second race. Carter shrugged off the years to win the first race in a time that was faster than any of the races in the preceding Premier League match, and was leading his second race when his engine blew up meaning he was done for the day. Jack Parkinson-Blackburn was again very impressive, scoring 12 points from 5 rides, despite a seriously misbehaving clutch.
The Scunthorpe Stags were weakened when Dan Greenwood was called upon to ride in the National League. However when his National League match succumbed to the rain Dan raced over to the Eddie Wright Raceway to act as meeting reserve and then won the last two races for Hull AGAINST the Stags!
It was a good opportunity for the members of the Stags MDL squad, who were scattered over three of the teams, to get some vital racing ahead of their first meeting this coming weekend.
