AMATEUR MEETING BEATS THE ELEMENTS

DESPITE much of the country being covered in snow the sixth meeting of the winter took place at Scunthorpe’s Eddie Wright Raceway last Sunday. Thirty-eight riders braved the conditions with Joe Burden (Flat Track), Lee Carter (Pit Bikes), Kyle Bickley (Youth 500), Jolyon West (Youth 250), Jordan Palin (Youth 125/150) and Teddy Wilkinson (Junior 110) the class winners.

This weekend’s meeting for the adult speedway classes has been cancelled due to track conditions and will now be run next Sunday, 31st January, at 11am. Places can be reserved by contacting Richard Hollingsworth on 07832-402167.

Future meetings for the youth speedway classes plus Flat Track and Pit Bike classes will be held on 7th and 28th February whilst the adult speedway classes will have meetings on 31st January, 14th February and 6th March.
