SCUNTHORPE SCORPIONS’ hot prospect Jordan Palin turns sixteen today (Wednesday, February 19th) and is therefore now eligible to ride for Scorpions in this season’s Championship.

Scunthorpe owner Rob Godfrey announced – way back in March 2019 that he would hand Palin a team place in 2020, and he line-up at reserve for the club, along the experienced Simon Lambert.

Godfrey says: “Jordan is a massive talent. We’ve known that all along, and he proved it at National League Belle Vue last season, where – as a 15-year-old – he started the season at No 7 and finished it at No 1.

“There’s no pressure on Jordan this season. It’s a tough league, the Championship, and he will be allowed to develop at his own rate.

“But we do know that Jordan has a massive future ahead of him in speedway, because he’s got both the talent and dedication required.

“He’s got the right backing, which is important. He’s got the vast experience of former Scunthorpe skipper Wayne Carter in his corner, while Jordan’s family also support him all the way.

“It’s going to be an exciting journey.”
