Jake reaches semi at Sheffield

JAKE ALLEN finished a fighting fifth place in the Championship Riders’ Individual at Sheffield today (Sunday).

The Australian scored 10 points in his heats, concluding with a brave ride around the outside to pick up a race victory from Heat 19.

In the semi-final, Allen gave his all and was close to passing Danny King for the crucial second place at one point in the race, but eventually had to settle for third.

Josh Auty took a heavy tumble in his second outing, and then withdrew from the meeting after one further outing.

Redcar’s Erik Riss won the meeting.
