10. Josh coming round to win ht 10

JOSH AUTY, the injured No 1 of the FluidAir Power Scunthorpe Scorpions, supported by Henderson Insurance, is unlikely to return to action in 2015.

Auty went to the hospital yesterday (Thursday), and it was confirmed that he had broken his hand for the second time this season.

The 24-year-old Yorkshireman was brought down by Ipswich’s Rohan Tungate in a post-Heat 10 incident at the Eddie Wright Raceway last Friday. Ironically the meeting marked Auty’s return from a nine-week spell on the sidelines after originally breaking his hand on May 15.

His hand was initially too swollen for diagnosis, so Auty had to return yesterday.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “It’s just as we suspected. We were hoping for the best, but fearing for the worst, and the worst has happened.

“Josh has broken his hand again in the same place as before, and it looks like his season is over. We wish him a speedy and trouble-free recovery.”
