More sunshine speedway ahead at Eddie Wright Raceway
FLUIDAIR POWER Scunthorpe Scorpions, supported by Henderson Insurance, are chasing a second successive home win, when they host the Ipswich Witches at the Eddie Wright Raceway tonight (Friday, 7.30pm).
Scorpions’ No 1 Josh Auty makes his return, after nine weeks on the sidelines with a broken hand.
Scunthorpe defeated Peterborough by 47-43 in a classic encounter last Friday, and promoter Rob Godfrey is hoping for another scintillating night of action.
Godfrey says: “Everything is set for another cracking evening of action at the Eddie Wright Raceway, the best racetrack in the country. Ipswich will provide us with a stern test, and have a quality rider at No 1 in the shape of Danny King, so like last week, the meeting could well go all the way to Heat 15.
“We’re delighted to have Josh Auty back riding for us, and have our complete team back in action.
“The weather forecast seems to promise us an evening of sunshine speedway, and I’m sure the action on track will be just at hot.”
