Scorpions hold prices
FLUIDAIR POWER Scunthorpe Scorpions, supported by Henderson Insurance, are holding their admission prices for the 2015 season.
It will cost £15 for an adult to attend the Eddie Wright Raceway for a Premier League fixture – one of the lowest admission prices in the league.
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “2015 is a big season for us. We’ve made no bones about the fact we need more people through the turnstiles this season.
“One way to attract people is to make sure the package stays value for money.
“I feel that a night out at Scunthorpe Speedway does represent tremendous value.
“We won the award for the best racetrack in the Premier League last year, for the third time in five years. There’s around a 90% chance that the crowd will see a good meeting at the Eddie Wright Raceway.
“We’ve again invested in the stadium over the winter, and people will see a few changes as soon as they come through the turnstiles this season.”
Although Scunthorpe are not running in the National League this season, double headers are planned for the four Bank Holiday dates, with a Premier League meeting followed by a National League challenge. Adult and concessionary admission prices are just £2 extra for these double-headers.
One confirmed second half is on Monday, August 31, when Scunthorpe will host the Midland Development League Riders’ Championship.
