Double sponsorship boost for Scorpions

SCUNTHORPE SPEEDWAY is delighted to announce the continued backing of both Henderson Insurance Broking Group and FluidAir Power Ltd for the 2015 season.

FluidAir Power Ltd will be main team sponsors of the Premier League Scunthorpe Scorpions for a second successive season.

Meanwhile, Henderson Insurance Broking Group, backers of the club since 2007, will be the club sponsor. As well as sponsoring the Scorpions, they will also sponsor all the other activities at the Eddie Wright Raceway, such as the Amateur meetings and Stock Car events.

The Premier League team will be known as the FluidAir Power Scunthorpe Scorpions, supported by Henderson Insurance.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have both companies back on board.

“We’ve made no attempt to hide that 2014 was not a great year financially for the club.

“So the backing of both Hendersons and FluidAir is just invaluable.

“We want to give both companies value for money, and maximise any exposure for them.

“One way we can do that is to be successful and maybe win some silverware, so hopefully we can do that for them. I’m pretty optimistic that we can have a good year.

“This will be the ninth year that Hendersons have been backing us and they’ve been very good to us.

“In 2013, Joe Henderson indicated it was going to their last season backing us, but then he came back to us again last season, and said he wanted to continue to give us all the support he can. Last season, Hendersons were sponsors of the Stags, and this season they will sponsor every activity at the venue – the Scorpions’ meetings, the Amateur meetings, our stock car meetings, and so on.

“FluidAir are a local company, and I’m massively grateful to them as well.

“FluidAir sponsor us and Scunthorpe United FC as well. They were very keen to continue as main team sponsors of the Scorpions. They are well into their sports and backing the local teams, and again we want to make it good value for them.

“I hope our fans will give business to both companies. Please support the companies that support us.”

Local firm FluidAir Power are based on Foxhills Industrial Estate in Scunthorpe. Established in 2000, they supply a comprehensive range of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Industrial components and services to all areas of industry.

Henderson Insurance Broking Group was formed 28 years ago and operates from 12 offices in the UK and will exceed £200m premium spend in the current financial year. They have specialist teams operating across all sectors and in areas such as professional risks, healthcare, risk management and construction bonds.
