IT’S hard to believe that it’s nearly a year-and-a-half since Ricky Ashworth crashed in the Scunthorpe vs Berwick meeting on August 2, 2013.

Ricky won his fight for life after spending 91 days in a coma in Hull Royal Infirmary — and now he faces another long-term battle, to lead as normal a life as possible.

One speedway meeting we’re hoping everyone will be able to attend is his benefit meeting.  Ricky’s Big Day, will be held at Sheffield on Sunday, March 22 (5pm)

A special video has been filmed by GRT Media at Ricky’s home.  We implore you to watch this: http://bit.ly/RickyAshworth

Anyone wanting to help Ricky in any way, including advertising in his special race day programme, can contact his benefit committee at juliereading22@btinternet.com

And let’s all get across to Owlerton Stadium on March 22, to help make the best supported domestic meeting in British Speedway in 2015.
