HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Stags start a period that sees them involved in six National League meetings in 21 days at Kent tonight (Monday, 6.30pm).

The Kent Kings are in just their second year of operation and operate at Central Park Stadium in Sittingbourne.

The Kings have opted for quite an experienced side in the National League, in contrast to the rookies of Stags.

15-year-old Reece Downes moves up to No 4 in the Stags’ line-up, having gained an official average of 3.75.

Stags’ boss Richard Hollingsworth said: “I think it’ll be good for the lads for the team to ride six times in 21 days.

“In addition, four of our riders will also be riding in the Julie Lewis Trophy at Redcar on Thursday night, so that’s a seventh meeting for them.

“I think we’ll see the Stags grow over the next three weeks. The meeting at Kent is going to be a tough one to begin with, but – as always – the track time is invaluable.”

Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Stags’ line-up for tonight: 1. Steve Jones 4.80, 2. Arron Mogridge 4.44, 3. Danno Verge 3.35, 4. Reece Downes 3.75, 5. Sam Chapman 4.23, 6. Jack Hall 3.00, 7. Ryan MacDonald 3.00.
