logoSCUNTHORPE SCORPIONS can confirm they have a new main team sponsor for 2014: FluidAir Power Ltd.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey is delighted to welcome them on board as the new team sponsor.  Local firm FluidAir Power are based on Foxhills Industrial Estate and supply hydraulic and pneumatic components.

Godfrey said: “We’re delighted that they’ve come on board as our main sponsors.  FluidAir Power always been very good sponsors for us; they’ve been advertising in the programme since day one.

“They’re a growing company, who have just moved premises, and they want to step up and increase their profile.

“It’s all come about through the hard work of our commercial manager Juile Harrowven.  I gave her a list of names of companies who I thought might want to be our team sponsors; she went to see FluidAir and they said they’d do it straight away.

“It’s a bigger financial deal then we’ve ever had before.  If we can entertain their sponsors here and give them a good night out at speedway at the same time, that’s what we want to do.

“Things are looking good and this deal enables us to compete with everyone else at Premier League level.”

FluidAir Power managing director Dave Pollard says it is an exciting time to be involved with the Scorpions as they attempt to regain their Premier League crown next term.

He said: “We’ve been involved with the speedway for many years, advertising in the programme and having advertising banners up at the track, and we’ve sponsored individual riders over the years.

“When they approached us to see if we’d like to become their full main sponsors, we jumped at the chance.

“We’ve had a good relationship with them for a number of years and as far as we’re concerned it’s both a great honour and a great opportunity to become involved with them in a much more detailed way.

“We want to show we’re fully behind and support the speedway team. They do a fantastic job and we’re proud and honoured to be main sponsors.

“They look like they’re going places and we want to be part of it.”
