Fixture change for Stags
SCUNTHORPE STAGS’ chairman Richard Hollingsworth has thanked the management of the Mildenhall Fen Tigers, after they agreed to visit the Eddie Wright Raceway on Good Friday.
Hollingsworth said: “The Scunthorpe vs Cradley Heath National League fixture was scheduled for Good Friday, but then allowed to be changed because Cradley have signed six riders who are riding in the two pro-leagues and four are unavailable on that day.
“It looked like we were going to be left without a Stags’ home fixture on a key date, which would have been somewhat disastrous.
“After asking every club in the league to help us out, it was Mildenhall who came forward.
“Our sincere thanks go out to Chris Louis and Kevin Jolly, who have agreed for the Fen Tigers to come to Scunthorpe on Good Friday (April 18th), despite being without their top three. It is really very much appreciated.”
The Cradley Heathens will now visit on Sunday, April 13th, following the Scunthorpe vs Somerset Premier League fixture.
Meanwhile, the visit of Mildenhall shifts back five days to Good Friday, April 18th, and will follow the Scunthorpe vs Newcastle League Cup clash.
Both double-headers start at 3pm.
