WITH Scunthorpe-born Tai Woffinden homing in on his second World Championship, BBC Look North will be sending their cameras to the Eddie Wright Raceway – the home of the FluidAir Power Scunthorpe Scorpions, supported by Henderson Insurance – next Monday (October 5th) at 12 noon to do a news feature.

Fans are VERY welcome to come along. Not only is there the chance to show your support both for local speedway and for Tai, but there’s also a potential chance to be get your face on the TV or maybe even a chance to be interviewed!

Tai Woffinden currently has a 25-point lead in the World Championship, with just two rounds remaining. He needs just 18 points over two rounds.

He could confirm himself as World Championship in Torun, Poland on Saturday, as long as he is not outscored by chief rival Greg Hancock by more than three points.

Woffinden, who was born in Scunthorpe and grew up in Australia, started his professional career at Scunthorpe Speedway in 2006 at the age of 15.
