Line-up for City Gearboxes MDLRC 2015
THE line-up for the 2015 Midland Development League Riders’ Championship has been confirmed. Six clubs …Peterborough, Belle Vue, Kings Lynn, Long Eaton, Scunthorpe and Coventry have two representatives in the 16 man line-up with Buxton and Wolverhampton providing the meeting reserves.
The event is at Scunthorpe on Monday 31st August following the Premier League meeting between the FluidAir Power Scunthorpe Scorpions, supported by Henderson Insurance, and the Sheffield Tigers. It will be held over 20 heats with two semi-finals and a Grand Final.
With riders at this level receiving no points or travel money sponsorship has been arranged for each rider and heat (with a few heats still available at £50 per race –if interested e-mail : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk or text 07801429304.
This is the third staging of the event with Dan Greenwood the initial champion in 2012 followed by Shaun Tedham in 2013. There was not a MDLRC in 2014 due to unavailability of a staging track but the MDL would like to thank Rob Godfrey at Scunthorpe for stepping in to stage this year’s event and to league sponsor Gary Drinkwater of CITY GEARBOXES for backing the event.
