FLUIDAIR POWER Scunthorpe Scorpions are chasing away Premier League points at Glasgow tonight (Monday, 7.15pm).

Scunthorpe are currently in third place in the Premier League table. A win at Ashfield tonight would take the Scorpions back into second place.

Nicolai Klindt is absent, since the Dane is riding for Elite League Leicester. Although the Scorpions on the priority call on Klindt’s services when it comes to fixture clashes, tonight is the exception to the rule. The Leicester vs Eastbourne clash is a televised fixture, and due to an agreement between clubs, televised matches receive priority when it comes to fixture clashes.

Edinburgh’s Max Fricke is the guest replacement for the Scorpions at Ashfield. Fricke is in fine form at the moment, and was half of the Edinburgh pair which won the Premier League Pairs at Friday.

Promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Of course, it’s a blow not to have Nicolai Klindt, but we have an excellent guest replacement in Max Fricke, who is both on form and good around Glasgow; it’s the third successive meeting at Glasgow he’s competed in.

“Our home form has really come together in recent weeks, and we’re now also looking to pick up a few more points away from home.”

Teams for tonight:

Glasgow Tigers: 1. Kevin Wolbert, 2. Christian Henry, 3. Anders Thomsen, 4. Theo Pijper, 5. Rusty Harrison, 6. Kasper Lykke Nielsen, 7. Mason Campton (guest).

FluidAir Power Scunthorpe Scorpions: 1 Max Fricke (guest), 2. David Howe  (pictured), 3. Ashley Birks, 4. Josh Auty, 5. Ryan Douglas, 6. Matt Williamson, 7.Thomas Jørgensen.
